Walk-in-Interview for Research Associate

Date of Interview: 25/10/2018 Venue: CIFT, Cochin Time: 10 A.M.

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-Interview with all relevant documents for the temporary post of Research Associate (on contractual basis) to work in the project “Diagnostics for One health and user Driver Solutions for AMR (DOSA)”. The duration of the project is up to September 2021.

Research Associate: 1 post

Fellowship: Rs. 36,000/- per month + 20% HRA

Qualification: Ph.D in the field of Microbiology/ aquatic animal health management/ Fishery Microbiology/ Fish pathology and health management/ aquaculture and fishery Microbiology or Masters degree in the Microbiology/ aquatic animal health management/ Fishery Microbiology/Fish pathology and health management/ aquaculture and fishery Microbiology with 4/5 years Bachelors degree having 1st division or 60% with at least 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Desirable: CSIR/ UGC/ ICAR Net qualified, Excellent computer documentation and analytical skills. Prior experience in handling microbial cultures and molecular techniques.

Nature of work: Place of posting will be at CIFT, Cochin. Work involves extensive field trips, liaison with stakeholders, sample collection for screening of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) pathogens and antibiotic residue analysis from aquaculture farms in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Isolation, identification and PCR conformation of AMR pathogens database development and laboratory analysis.

Age limit: Maximum of 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on date of interview

Recruitments are in accordance with ICAR Office memorandum F.No.Agril.Edn.6/27/2014-HRD dated 09.10.2015

Terms & Conditions: Registration will begin at 9.00 a.m. and will close at 11.30 a.m. Age limit (as on 25.10.2018) : Below 40 years for men and 45 years for women.
Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates is permissible. Candidate should possess 1st class or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA Candidates are required to submit attested copies of all the Certificates in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/OBC etc. The original certificates shall be produced for verification before the interview. Candidates should bring detailed bio-data ( in the enclosed format) affixing a recent passport size photograph
The selected candidate will be recruited on contract basis under ICAR norms. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The candidate attending the interview should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates for selection/test/appointment No TA/DA will pay to attend the interview. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all aspects regarding the selection to the post.
